Ways of Crossing the Border

The flood of Mexican illegal aliens across the United States southern border is violent, continuous, and unchecked. That is the truth. There is no "alternate" truth. There are really only two ways illegals enter the United States, by foot or by land motor vehicle. Air travel is not on that list because air travel is essentially not used by illegals to enter the United States. Although even after 9/11, illegals don’t take commercial aircraft to their destinations deep within America. You might be nearly strip searched but illegal aliens seem immune to capture. Boats are also not on the list. There are probably a hundred times more surf boards and even inner tubes used to illegally float into the United States than real boats. Boats are reserved for the most part for Chinese, Haitian, or some other ocean crossing group. Thanks to the very rational fear that some unidentified ocean cruiser may contain a nuclear weapon targeted for an American harbor, all of these unusual vessels are detected, tracked, intercepted, and boarded hundreds or even thousands of miles away from our shores. If it's big enough to get here from China then we've been watching it. Trying to enter the United States by boat has some very interesting rules. If you can make it "un-captured" to US dry land, then you are handled differently than if you are captured still in the water. If you are still in the "water" then you have not reached the US, and can be summarily be sent away with not one nod from the courts. If you make it to a point just above the high water mark, dry land, then all of the various processes and procedures of the INS and the courts are ready to help you stay here. If you are Cuban and reach this magical high water mark then you have made it and no effort will be made to deport you.

Arizona's New Immigration Law

Gov. Jan Brewer of Arizona signed the nation’s toughest bill on illegal immigration into law a week ago. Its aim is to identify, prosecute and deport illegal immigrants. The move unleashed immediate protests and started a battle over immigration reform nationally. President Obama strongly criticized the law. The law would make the failure to carry immigration documents a crime and give the police broad power to detain anyone suspected of being in the country illegally. It requires police officers, “when practicable,” to detain people they reasonably suspect are in the country without authorization and to verify their status with federal officials, unless doing so would hinder an investigation or emergency medical treatment. It also makes it a state crime, a misdemeanor, to not carry immigration papers. In addition, it allows people to sue local government or agencies if they believe federal or state immigration law is not being enforced. Opponents have called it an open invitation for harassment and discrimination against Hispanics regardless of their citizenship status. Some believe the law gives officers the ability to demand documents like “Nazism.” Hispanics against the law said it is a recipe for racial and ethnic profiling. Predictions show that the law would create “a spiral of pervasive fear, community distrust, increased crime and costly litigation, with nationwide repercussions.” While police demands of documents are common on subways, highways and in public places in some countries, including France, Arizona is the first state to demand that immigrants meet federal requirements to carry identity documents legitimizing their presence on American soil. Ms. Brewer said she would work to ensure that the police have proper training to carry out the law. But she sided with arguments by the law’s sponsors that it provides an indispensable tool for the police in a border state that is a leading magnet of illegal immigration. President George W. Bush had attempted comprehensive reform but failed when his own party split over the issue. Once again, Republicans facing primary challenges have come under tremendous pressure to support the Arizona law, known as SB 1070.

Illegal Immigration Blog #2

This article/website, http://immigrationcounters.com, contains current statistics that change every second. They are outstanding and more people should be informed of this so that something could be done.
As of April 16, 2010 9:18 PM, there are 22,738,318 illegal aliens in the Country, 578,426 OTM illegals in the Country, $28,293,759,403 money wired to Mexico since January 2006, $254,171,208,979 money wired to Latin American since 2001, $397,453,443,253 cost of Social Services for Illegal Aliens since 1996, 5,020,659 children of illegals in Public Schools, $14, 042,311,695 cost of illegals in K-12 since 1996, 419,474 illegal aliens incarcerated, $23,962,351,685 cost of incarcerations since 2008, 739,332 illegal alien fugitives, 3,291,034 anchor babies since 2002, and 11,562,177 skilled jobs taken by illegal aliens.
The U.S. government spends tens of millions of dollars each year trying to persuade federal circuit courts to uphold orders for thousands of illegal immigrants to leave the country, but those orders have been enforced in only one-fifth of the cases. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a branch of the Department of Homeland Security, is responsible for "removing" illegal immigrants who stay in this country against the law. More than 80 percent of the illegal immigrants whose deportation orders were upheld by a federal appeals court last year were still in the country. If people are not getting removed then why should we still be paying for it, why should we pay for it from the get go. About 8,000 cases made it to the U.S. Court of Appeals last year and the study tracked the 7,200 cases in which the Justice Department prevailed. The study found that despite winning those cases, only 1,375 illegal immigrants, 19 percent, had been removed as of last month. People need to stop complaining about how this is so bad and to stop saying that they are doing something when they really are not. Something has to be done, not later but now.

Illegal Immigration Blog #1

Illegal immigration is the movement of people across national borders in a way that violates the immigration laws of the destination country. Illegal immigrants are also known as illegal aliens to differentiate them from legal aliens.

For the leftist pro-criminal amnesty crowd here is a small sample of what is in store for your children’s future. Keep in mind that during the 1986 Amnesty push the number of border crossing increased 1000%. So these are just very low ideas of actual facts about immigration and immigrant criminals that you can expect for your children to deal with.

From the 2006 (1st Qtr) INS/FBI Statistical Report

“12 Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens. (that’s more than 21,900 murders by illegal aliens since September 11, 2001)

13 people per day are killed by illegal immigrants who drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. An additional 4,745 premature deaths per year.

62% of all “undocumented immigrants” in the United States are working for cash and not paying taxes, predominantly illegal aliens, working without a green card.

95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

83% of warrants for murder in Phoenix are for illegal aliens.

86% of warrants for murder in Albuquerque are for illegal aliens.

75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Albuquerque are illegal aliens.

More than 380,000 “anchor babies” born in the United States in 2005 were to parents who are illegal aliens; making those 380,000 babies automatically U.S. citizens. 97.2% of all costs incurred from those births were paid by the American taxpayer.

More than 66% of all births in California are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

24.9% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

40.1% of all inmates in Arizona detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

48.2% of all inmates in New Mexico detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

29% (630,000) of the inmates in all state and federal prisons are illegal aliens—at a cost of $1.6 billion annually.

More than 53% of all investigated burglaries reported in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas are perpetrated by illegal aliens.

More than half of all gang members in Los Angeles are illegal aliens from south of the border.

More than 43% of all Food Stamps issued are to illegal aliens.

More than 41% of all unemployment checks issued in the United States are to illegal aliens.

58% of all welfare payments in the United States are issued to illegal aliens.

Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties in the United States are illegal aliens.

14 out of 31 TV stations in L.A. are Spanish-only.

16 out of 28 TV stations in Phoenix are Spanish only.

15 out of 24 TV stations in Albuquerque are Spanish-only.

More than 34% of Arizona students in grades 1-12 are illegal aliens.

More than 24% of Arizona students in grades 1-12 are non-English speaking.

More than 39% of California students in grades 1-12 are illegal aliens.

More than 42% of California students in grades 1-12 are non-English speaking.

In Los Angeles County, 5.1 million people speak English and 3.9 million speak Spanish.

More than 71% of all apprehended cars stolen in 2005 in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California were stolen by illegal aliens or transport “coyotes.”

47% of cited/stopped drivers in California have no license, no insurance, and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 47%, 92% are illegal aliens.

63% of cited/stopped drivers in Arizona have no license, no insurance, and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 63%, 97% are illegal aliens.

66% of cited/stopped drivers in New Mexico have no license, no insurance, and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 66%, 98% are illegal aliens.

Less than 2% of illegal aliens in the United States are picking crops, but 41% are on welfare.

Over 70% of the United States annual population growth (and over 90% of California, Florida, and New York) results from illegal immigration, at a cost of nearly $68,000,000,000.00 annually.”

If all that was calculated in 2006, then imagine what the calculations look like now. Something needs to be done so that these numbers do not escalate even more. We have to make the future for our children safer and for them to have more opportunities that these people are taking from them.

From personal experience I know illegal’s who receive free medical treatment and take advantage of it and I know legal’s who work, barely make any money, and still have to pay for an insurance that does not cover anything. I myself was born here and have medical needs but an insurance that does not do me any good just causes more problems.
